Neapolitan pizza is pizza "from Naples”, southern Italy, where pizza was born over 200 years ago. It is cooked in less than 2 minutes in a 1000 degree fire oven and requires imported Italian flour for the dough, imported San Marzano tomatoes for the sauce and fresh whole-milk mozzarella balls as opposed to mass-produced brick mozzarella used by the rest of the pizza industry. The final product is a thin-crust pizza that cannot be compared to any pizza available in the North American market today.
